Next morning I directly got on the train to Tarragona, a provincial capital in the south of Catalonia which boasts quite a number of monuments and ruins from Roman days as well as a beach strip in the centre of town. I did not get to see many of the sights because they closed early in the afternoon and were closed the whole next day. But Tarragona is a nice city with a lively atmosphere that has a good mix of tourists and local people. This is a scene from the old town with a painted façade.
