Meals were served in the hut to the right. That is, outdoors, although covered. I had expected mosquitos to be a nuisance in the delta, but there was very little of them during my stay. What about the food then? There was not a menu, but I had to take what Antonella served me. Some of the dishes were a bit dull, but others were really good. Not unexpectedly, save for the deserts, I was mainly served fish. The portions were – huge. Being Swedish, I'm taught to eat everything on my plate, but this was impossible. Antonella cooked for 3-4 persons it seems. It started already the first day. I arrived around four o'clock and was served lunch, despite I had had lunch in Letea. And then I had dinner. Three-course at both occasions. When I came back to Tulcea, I felt like I had overdosed on food! |
