A zoom-in on the northern part of the delta. I've highlighted Letea, the place where I had booked my lodging. You may note the names Crişan and Sulina. These are the two main concentrations of hotels and pensions. They are both on the same arm, Bratul Sulina, which is served by 2-3 hydrofoils daily and some days also a big (and slow) ferry boat. You can see from the map that Letea borders to wet lands on the western side, but on the eastern side land is more solid, and the village is connected by road to Sulina, although it's a dirt road.
