To give you an orientation, here is a map of the area. Tulcea is in the middle of the picture, the delta to the right. In the left of the picture, there is border-line going along what seems to be a narrower river, but that is in fact an arm of the Danube which starts to bifurcate further south to reunite further north outside the map. Note also that west of Tulcea there are some small mountains.
