The Lipscani is what remains of the historical centre and it is a nice area, mainly because of the abundance of restaurants and nightlife. Caru' cu Bere is one of Bucharest's most famous restaurants in a well-preserved house. I did not come around to frequent the restaurant myself, although the indoor decoration is said to be very appealing.
