The biggest sight in Bucharest is without a doubt this building that stands as a monument over Ceauşescu's megalomania. Originally it was intended to be headquarters for the communist party, house dwellings for officials etc. Today it houses both chambers of the Romanian parliament and it is also used for international conferences. It's the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon. It's possible to visit the palace on guided tours, and I took the occasion.
