2010 to 2012, Christchurch was rocked by four major earthquakes (and a large number of smaller aftershocks), and particularly the second had a devastating effect on the Central Business District. While some blocks have been rebuilt, there still many dererlict houses and empty properties. This container mall was of the first things that came up after the earthquakes as a means to introduce some normality,
