Until 1945-08-06 this was the Industrial Promotion Hall. The bomb exploded almost right above this building, but being constructed in reinforced concrete, it did not crumble to the ground entirely, but left a ruin. A ruin which has been preserved in that state as a memorial of that very day, now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome..
