Eventually I arrived on top of a rock, and realised that it could only go down from there. I figured that I could just as well turn back. But then I noticed that the path led down through the mountain. Of course that was something to explore more closely. You can see that there is a wire to use as hand rail, and further below there are also steps in metal to help you to climb.
