Basque Lands, Bordeaux & Paris 2024

It was time for a real vacation trip. But after the long hitatus due to the pandemic, I felt a needed something simple as a warmup. For this reason, I decided to go somewhere I had been before.

The first Saturday in April, I got myself on a flight to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and continued directly on a train to Bordeaux where I stayed for two nights. Monday morning, I took the train to Biarritz and picked up a rental car. I drove to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (Donibane Garazi in Basque), which I also visitied in 2000 and 2010. With Donibane Garazi as my base I made excusions with my rental car, mainly to do day walks and enjoy the magnificent Basque landscape. After a week, I continued to Pamplona and stayed the night before turning back to Biarritz to return the car and stay for a day. I closed my trip by walking around aimlessly in Paris for a day and half.
