1. Outside Donibane Garazi

I arrived to Donibane Garazi (Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port) in the afternoon. The weather was gorgeous at the time, but the forecast said that there would be rain within the next two hours, so I stayed in town, and just took a short walk along a small road that runs along Nive. I was struck by beuaty immediately, as you can see.

I also visited the tourist information and picked up something important: two books with suggestions for walks in the area, which had very good use of the rest of the week!
