It is the first morning, and I am on a boat excursion together with my guide Cristián and and a couple from Buenos Aires, who were the only other guests this day. It is now I get to see the wetlands for real. I believe the plants on the picture are water hyacinths (more about these later) and in the background the local jungle (to which I also will return later).
