From Ciudad de Rodrigo I took a bus to the next bigger city which is Salamanca. It was evening and I took into a hotel. Originally, I had no plans to linger, but when I checked the guidebook, I found there were quite a few things to see and I decided to stay another night. This picture is from the main plaza which is entirely surrounded by buildings. To the right you can see a stage. There was a festival going on and in the evening there was a band playing there. Except for the first tune, their programme was far too light for me, but people were dancing and having a good time.
