2. Jishan Street

Jishan Street is one more of these Old Streets, lined by food stalls and shops that sell various interesting stuff – of which little really has any relation to Jiufen. Myself, I bought tea from Alishan (which I visited on my trip in 2003) and some nougat biscuits from I don't know where. This is just after I arrived, and it is still kind of early. Later in the day, the street was packed.
