Jiufen

This was another day trip I made from Taipei. Jiufen is a former gold-digging town. Today, it's a small town that climbs the mountain side. After the gold rush, the town became backwaters until a film was shot here in the end of the eighties, and the place became a must-see. Today it's a sort of self-induced tourist attraction: Everyone goes here, so it must be worth seeing. Well, it was actually not a bad experience at all.
