A recent and very popular attraction around Sun Moon Lake is a ropeway. You might expect it to take you to somewhere with great views, but half-way you start to descend and eventually you land outside Formosan Aboriginal Village. You can buy a combo ticket, but I came too late to do that; the last tour on the ropeway is already at four. As for views, those from inside the cabin had to do.
