9. Old and New

To the left, a phonograph of the very first generation, where the needle picked up the sound and the horn amplified it as much as it could. To the right, a modern record player with a modern amplifier. To the far right, there you can see a glimpse of a device that is in between those two, that is a gramophone for 78 rpm records.

Chance has it that I arrived to the museum just in time to attend a live demo of these machines as well as a few more.
