17. Colourful Entrance

Yes, that is yet another Buddhist temple. But Jochi-ji is different from Engaku-ji and Kencho-ji. It is a smaller complex and presumably less visited, and definitely less maintained. But despite its partly dilapidated feeling, or maybe because of it, I found it sweet.

The guide book did not cover Jochi-ji as such, and the only reason I came here is that the temple is on the start of the walking trail I wanted to take.
