18. Inner Side of the Gate

If memory serves, this is past a third gate, not the one we saw a couple of pictures back.

Note the lanterns. They are all over the place. They were donated by different daimyos all over the Japan. The more prominent the daimyo, the closer to the actual shrine he was permitted to put his lantern.
