43. The Temple Yard Again

The temple yard again, this time seen from the altar. Pay attention to the man with the straw hat. That's a pilgrim. There is a pilgrim route on Shikoku encompassing no less than 88 Buddhist temples (of which this is #38). Sort of the Japanese version of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Except that far from all walk the entire route, but they may transport themselves by other means. For instance, there was also a pilgrim on the bus from Nakamura.
