At first, the bicycle trip did not seem to be a success. It took me a while to get through town to the river, and when I finally did, it was surrounded by high banks at first and then it was hidden behind trees. But I continued nevertheless, and eventually there was a gap between the trees so I could get a glimpse of the river valley.
