| Kamakura is a town in the southern parts of greater Tokyo with a glorious past: Between 1185 and 1333, this was the power centre of Japan, as this was where the shogun resided. There are plenty of shrines and temples here. This picture is from Kencho-ji in northern Kamakura, surrounded by lush forests. | ||
