Khreshchatyk is the grand boulevard of Kiev. It leads from the Besarabsky Market to the European Square, cutting Maidan in two on the way. There is a lot of traffic on the street, but on weekends it's transformed to a pedestrian street, and this picture is from a Saturday night. At ten o'clock, however, they opened for the cars again. If you think that there is an awful of letters in the name, it is a lot shorter in Cyrillic script: Хрещатик. |
