Atlanta is a long city that centres on Peachtree Street, and a few km north of Downtown there is an area known as Midtown which has its own set of high-rise and glass-and-steel buildings. Here I have just come up from the underground station Midtown and there is mix of modern buildings in the background and older, somewhat overly elaborate, houses in the foreground. For those who cares, just next by is the house where Margaret Mitchell lived when she wrote Gone with the Wind and the house is now a museum.
