In the evening I arrived in the beach resort of Nags Head on the Outer Banks. Nags Head is just south of Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills where the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright conducted their flying experiments. These stones mark how far the first three flights on that very day, 1903-12-17 went. There is a fourth stone which is actually quite further away from the other three where the last and fourth flight ended.
