My final stop for the day was Edenton where I had a room waiting for me. Edenton is a small town, some 5 000 souls with an historic centre which consists mainly of older houses like this one. It is also nicely situated on Albemarle Sound. With more time, I think would like to have stayed here for two nights, so I could have enjoyed more of the town. I arrived just before dusk, so I did not get to see that much.
