The biggest attraction in New Bern is the Tryon Palace, where a colonial governor once resided. I did not have the time to take any of the tours into the palace, but only made a quick tour through the garden. And maybe just as well. What you see is not the original house, but a reconstruction from the 1950s, albeit built from the original drawings.
