One of the few sights in Wilson is this small building which hosts the Oliver Nestus Freeman Roundhouse African-American Museum. Mr Freeman was a man who built several houses in Wilson, of which some where quite creative in their design as this small roundhouse. Originally it had three rooms, which is difficult to believe when you are inside of it. Today it hosts a museum which is filled with paraphernalia related to the culture of the black people in the US. The warden was also kind to give me a lecture, although it was a bit embarrassing not recognising all the names of great black Americans he mentioned like Booker T. Washington. I tried to blame it on the fact that I was newly arrived.
