Asheville

Asheville is a city in western North Carolina at the foot of the mountains that is a popular tourist destination. The main attraction is the Biltmore Estate, the largest private home in North America. The city itself is also popular with a vibrant night life and some architecture from the early 20^th century that has survived through the years. A special feature in the town is all the hippies that has remained, and at night there is quite an offering of street music. Much as Asheville is lively at night, it appeared quite dull to me during the day (possibly because most people are at the Biltmore Estate then). There are some houses worth seeing, but downtown Asheville is not worth a full day, which I found out the hard way. I walked around downtown and I also hopped on a city tour that took me to the River Art District and Biltmore Village, but you will get any pictures from the latter two as they were void of anything to take photos of.
