The only sight in Barcelona that can compete with La Rambla in fame is Sagrada Familia, the church that has been under construction since the 1880s. When it will be completed – no one knows. But compared to my first visit in 1991, they have made serious progress. The main body of the church now has a roof. Now, what you actually think of this church is up to your personal taste. Personally, I find it a bit too elaborate. And in case you did not know, the architect behind all this is Gaudí.
