The "destination" for the bike trip was Casas de San Juan, a desolated village. I found a plaque saying that at the peak, 100-200 people had been living here, and that as late as 1980 there had been 17 inhabitants. Today the village is completely abandoned, save the occasional tourists that find their way here. (I had my lunch here, and as I was eating, a couple arrived with their car to look.)
