The delta is still growing, and the outer parts are nothing but sand. I walked around a sandy peninsula (and where the inner parts are off limits to leave the birds in peace). On the outer parts of the peninsula, the water broke through in a couple of places. In the background you can see the mountains that lie on the Catalonian coast.
