This magnificent building is in the ASTRA Park on the other end of Strada Bălcescu from Piaţa Mare. This is a newer building from 1905. ASTRA is/was an organisation to promote Romanian culture in Transylvania and held its first congress in Sibiu in 1861. Recall that at the time, Transylvania was part of Austria-Hungary.
