20. Roadside Waterfall

This view encountered me as I tried to drive from Franz Josef Glacier to Wanaka as a tropical storm was hitting New Zealand. The forecasts said that the west coast would get 200-350 mm of rain. I was able to pass these waterfalls, but some kilometres further there was a waterfall that covered the road and I stopped there. Eventually, the police closed the road, as there had been severe mudslides. I had to return to the small village of Haast where I spent two unplanned nights.
