This was a walk along a levada that lead to a waterfall. Or to be precise, one waterfall along the way to arrive at the bigger waterfall Caldeirão Verde, and had time permitted I could have to proceeded to Caldeirão do Inferno. Alas, I had to give that a miss, but return the way I came in order to be able to catch the bus back.
Admittedly, once you have walked along a levada, there is a certain pattern you recognize. But at least this walk had some components that my first levada walk had not: there were a couple of tunnels. And of course the waterfalls. This is on the north side of the island, and it was overcast from the start, and the clouds just got denser, and eventually all distant views were lost.
