Oasis 21 is a bus terminal and a shopping mall. On the flat roof there is a shallow pool a couple of metres above the street providing a relaxing environment. Well, it could have been relaxing. For some reason they had mounted speakers there that played some music. This is not an uncommon moment of irritation in Japan. You could walk along an open street and the same muzak would follow you from block to block. (But up here, it wasn't muzak, but some more noisy rock'n'roll. Still entirely superfluous, though.
