I've now hit the trail up to Miso-san, the highest mountain on Miyajima. I am still in a laid out park, where they have some devices to keep the small river in check. Itsukushima-jinja was destroyed in 1945, but not by any atomic bomb, but a flood that hit Hiroshima in September the same year.
