The place I was heading for was Camilgliatello in the Sila mountains. I took the express train for Rome, and descended in Paola, where there immediately was a train for the short hop to Cosenza and there it was only five minutes until the bus left for Camigliatello. That was too goodm, though. It took me ten minutes to find the time table and the ticket sale, so I had to wait for three hours for the next bus.

Cosenza has a historic centre, so I could have made quick visit into town. There was a car rental on the station, so I could have skipped the bus. There was even a taxi driver who wanted to take me to Camigliatello. But I did not of that, but sat in the sun and read a book.
