Vincent van Gogh spent some time in Arles where he produced a couple of paintings, amongst them Terrasse du café le soir. The café still exists, and looks like it always has, save that they've added the name of van Gogh on the wall. Well, it does not sound unlikely that the house changed a couple of the times through the years, until someone got the bright idea to return to the van Gogh painting. The café is on a square in the old town, which is quite nice. And the place is surely OK for a coffee, but I had dinner there one night and I was not that impressed. Certainly a tourist trap.
