This is the biggest lake in the Faroes (with two different names), and I went there the first thing after I had landed and checked in at the hotel. The lake empties into a short river and the river meets the sea in a big waterfall. It was raining, and although the lake is only some kilometer wide, you can hardly see the other shore on the pictures.

The lake is on the Vágar island, which is also the island where the airport is located. (But this is not the island where Tórshavn, the capital, is located.)
