38. The Local Jungle

In the afternoon I borrowed a bicycle from the hostería (they have both bikes and canoes you can dispose of freely), to look around on my own. Biking was not a huge success, though. The landscape is flat, but cycling on the soft sandy roads required just as much as energy uphill (and with no downhill to reward you!).

Iberá is a natural reserve, and there is a visitors centre just outside Carlos Pellegrini. Across the road from the centre, there is a small jungle. Small, but still hosting many nice flowers and plants. There are also monkeys, but those I failed to see. Estrella told me that I should have asked the rangers at the visitors centre to spot them for me.
