An interesting feature in Iberá are the floating islands, embalsados. These islands have their basis in camalotales, water hyacinths with floats to keep them on the water surface. Between the plants, soil gather where other plants can grow, and eventually there is an island, which you can land on. You can jump on it, and feel how it is bouncing. The island is not fixed in its location, but floats around in the lake and can appear in different places from day to day.
