La garganta del diablo is one of the biggest named formations in Quebrada de Cafayate. It's a big opening in the cliff, presumably formed by running water at some point in time. La Garganta is a bit exciting, since you can quite easily climb up the cliffs, and who knows, may be all the way to the top. However, it may be trickier to get back down again! More pictures from this place follow, but none of them really succeeds to convey how it really looks in this complex ravine. As for the name, yes, it is the same name as the water fall in Iguazú. |
