The main means of transportation in Argentina and Chile is by bus. Argentina has a host of bus companies driving around their passengers in very comfortable coaches. Since about every bus company has buses to take people to and from Buenos Aires, you find all of them on Retiro, the bus station in Buenos Aires. Retiro is huge, and there is a long line of ticket counters of which you can see some here.
