This was a tough excursion. The tour started four in the morning on sea level and it peaked at an altitude of around 4500, although most of the time we were slightly below the 4000 metres mark. On such altitudes, the ait is getting thinner and the amount of oxygen you are used to is not available – you need to take it light and easy and refrain from running around.
