I continued with a local bus further north along the lake to Puerto Octay, which the guidebook indicated was more low key. And indeed it is. There is no beach in the town itself, and overall it was not much to write home about. I returned with the bus 45 minutes after I came. But this statue carved directly out of the tree on the main square is cute.
