The western part of the island is less densly populated, and there is a large national park here. Most of that national park is not easily visited, but there is a visitor centre where there are some trails, of which none is very long, but by walking them all, I might have walked 10 km altogether. It felt a bit regimented, but then again, this is not an area where you walk outside the path – the vegetation is simply too dense for that. The weather was just perfect for this visit. Sunny, but not overly warm.
