My next stop after El Calafate was Puerto Natales in Chile, meaning that I said goodbye to Argentina for this time..
The most common reason people come here is because they are heading for the national park Torres del Paine, one of Chile's main draws. So this is ironic, I've now been to Puerto Natales twice, but I have not been to Torres del Paine. (Why not? It seems that to really experience Torres del Paine, you should do a multi-day hike, and that is not my thing.)
This time I came to Puerto Natales to do a three-day boat ride to Puerto Montt from which there are a lot of pictures in the next set. I came to Puerto Natales the day before I was to board the boat. On the first day when it was sunny and warm, I walked around a bit. The sceond day was a lot chillier, and I mainly spent my time in cafés preparing pictures for the web site.
