Bielsko-Biała is a town in the south of Poland of some 140 000 souls. I went there to speak at SQLDay Lite which rotates between different cities in Poland from year to year. Originally, my plan was to visit nearby Oświęcim to see the Holocast museums of Auschwitz and Birkenau, but I had completely failed to observe that this needs to be booked well in advance. Well, it turned out that the centre of Bielsko-Biała had an old town and a few places worth exploring. This is Rynek, the main square in the old town.
