Kenting

Kenting National Park takes up the entire southern tip of Taiwan and is fairly extensive. I based myself in Kenting town which has a high concentration of hotels as well as a beach, but it is nevertheless a small place.

On my previous trip in 2003, my plan was to go here, but as I was leaving in the morning, it was pouring, and I met with an American lady who spoke Chinese. She told me she had spoken to the bus driver, and he had said there was a typhoon – in November. So I never went to Kenting. This time, the weather was a lot more co-operative, and I had some really fine days.
